A SPECIAL Tudor evening concert is to be held at Queen Elizabeth's Hunting Lodge on May 23.
To commemorate the 500th anniversary of Henry VIII's accession to the throne, singing group the Erato Consort will be performing at the lodge in full Tudor regalia.
They will be singing a combination of songs from Henry VIII's original manuscript, entitled 'Pastime with Good Company', between 7pm and 9.30pm.
The group specialises in unaccompanied music from the 16th and 17th centuries and was founded in January 2007.
Katherine Fellowes, musical director for the Erato Consort, said: "We hope that the audience will feel that they are a part of a journey back to the way of life and music of the Tudor period.
"We are sure that it will be a relaxed and inspiring evening."
Tickets are free but booking is necessary as seating is limited to 40 people only. For more information, call the Epping Forest Visitor Centre on 8508 0028
