A TRIO of alleged robbers have appeared at Waltham Forest Magistrates' Court.
A 24-year-old man and two boys, aged 16 and 17, are accused of stealing a cash box that later turned out to be empty.
They are alleged to have grabbed the box from a security guard in Willow Walk, Walthamstow on Friday May 15 before trying to escape in a car.
The suspects were arrested later the same day after the Safer Transport Team spotted two people matching their description during a high visibility patrol in the area.
The 24-year-old has been named as Jay Massala, of Markhouse Road, Walthamstow but the two youths cannot be named for legal reasons.
They were all bailed on May 18 to return to Snaresbrook Crown Court on August 26.
