TRIBUTES have been paid to a popular Spurs fan and globetrotter who died in a motorcycle accident in Thailand.

Kenneth Ibrahim, 27, known as "Kenny", last month flew out to Phuket, in Thailand, to attend a summer-long Thai boxing boot camp.

But in the early hours of the morning Kenny's parents Tina and Ken received a call from his friend Matthew to tell him he had been involved in a collision with a truck, which killed him instantly.

Tina said: "The first thing Ken said to me was 'does this mean I am not going to see my son again?'

"He was a beautiful person who was so passionate about everything he did.

"We have been overwhelmed by all the visitors to the house, all the young people coming here crying."

Kenny, lived with his parents in New Road, Chingford.

He grew up in Chingford and attended Larkswood Primary School and Highams Park school.

After he left school he followed in his father's footsteps by becoming a heating engineer, later working for the Harrow-based firm Village Heating.

Kenny, who was planning to start his own business upon his return from Thailand, loved travelling.

He had previously visited a number of countries, including Australia, making many friends. A Facebook site dedicated to Kenny has attracted more than 3,000 visitors.

His younger brother Dean said: "He was one of those people you warmed to instantly, he would meet people for the first time and they would want to be his friend for life."

Kenny, described by his family as a "loud, happy practical joker", would also help his friends and large family by doing errands.

A keen sportsman, Kenny played football for Brimsdown Rovers and later developed an interest in Thai boxing.

He was a big fan of music, particular 60s and 70s soul and drum and bass, and his favourtie artist was Notorius BIG.

Unlike his younger brother, he was not a fan of the theatre, preferring to watch his beloved Tottenham Hotspur, where his father works as a part-time physio, His mother Tina said: "Dean came up to see us for his birthday and we went to see the Thriller musical, but Kenny ended up in the pub next door watching football!

"He was a people person, he loved life and was always happy."

Kenny died on May 10.

The funeral will take place at the City of London cemetery, in Aldersbrook Road, Wanstead, on Wednesday (May 27) from 12.30pm to 1.30pm.

The cortege will leave the Ibrahims' home, in New Road, Chingford, at 11.30am.
