THE TWO people who were diagnosed as suffering from Swine Flu have been given the all clear, it has been revealed today.

A Spokesman for NHS West Essex confirmed that the couple,from North Weald who are believed to have contracted the deadly disease after one of them travelled to America on a business trip.

The first to be diagnosed, a man in his 30's was the first case in the district.

Just days later a woman being described as "a close contact" of the first case was also diagnosed as suffering from the disease, which has infected close to 10,000 worldwide.

Director of public health at NHS West Essex, Alison Cowie said. "I am pleased to say the people in west Essex who had swine flu have fully recovered and are going about their normal routines."
