A WORLD-RENOWNED theorist in post-colonialism will be giving a lecture at the University of East London (UEL) next month.
Harvard Professor Homi Bhabha will speak about how evil can become routine among neighbours, citing Nazi Europe and the 1994 war in Rwanda as examples.
Mica Nava, UEL cultural studies professor, said: "We are delighted that Professor Bhabha is making this very special appearance at UEL.
"We are honoured to welcome him and are looking forward to hearing his lecture."
The talk is the first annual lecture of the Centre for Cultural Studies Research and will be held at UEL's Docklands campus.
The lecture, which will take place on June 10 from 5.30pm at the West Building Lecture Theatre, is open to the public but all places must be reserved in advance.
To reserve a place email Gill Perkins at g.s.perkins@uel.ac.uk
