A WOMAN is offering a cash reward after a holiday suitcase containing her crystal and pearl wedding tiara was snatched from her doorstep while she waited for a taxi.

Jane Gray, of Hillside Avenue in Woodford Green, was about to set off on a weekend trip to Benidorm to celebrate a friend's birthday when she noticed her bag, containing hundreds of pounds worth of her favourite clothes, shoes, jewellery and toiletries, had been taken from outside her home in a split-second grab.

The pink case, which was robbed at 7am on May 14 along with her friend's black case, also contained Ms Gray's wedding tiara, which she was planning to wear on the trip during a planned 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'-themed night out.

Ms Gray, 37, said: "We were running up and down the street when we realised they were gone but it was too late.

"We were left without anything and while the taxi turned up for everyone else we had to book separate flights for later in the day.

"It's just such a waste because it's all useless to everyone else but so important to us.

"Those people were obviously just chancers but for me it's not just the money, there's a lot of sentimental value to it all, especially the tiara.

"Someone out there must know where some of the stuff is and I just thought maybe some cash would persuade them to come forward."

Ms Gray's suitcase also contained an ipod and docking station and her friend lost a number of designer outfits, a personalised sliver necklace and her supply of prescription contact lenses.

Ms Gray said: "We had to have a few extra drinks on holiday so we didn't think about all the stuff we were missing.

"I'd like to warn people to be careful and not to do what we did as I've had a nightmare with the insurance because most of the stuff I don't have receipts for.

"My favourite dress was taken which is a really distinctive colour and if someone could just return that with the tiara I would be so grateful."
