A PLAQUE from the Plastics Historical Society is to be unveiled at the site of a former moulding company.
The De La Rue & National Plastics company employed thousands of people at its site in Walthamstow Avenue from 1937 to 1982 and was one of the largest moulding companies in the country during the Second World War.
A plaque to commemorate the former site will be unveiled on June 10 at 2.30pm.
Former employees there to mark the occasion will include, Maurice Phillips and his wife Joyce, Walter Rouse, Bill Bough and Sid Gaiger.
All are welcome to the event at the clock tower of Selco Builders Warehouse, Waltham Forest Business Centre, Trinity Park, Walthamstow Avenue, off the North Circular Road, Chingford.
