HUNGRY charity diners raised £450 last night for a toddler suffering from a rare disorder- by tucking into curries.
Millie Lecont,2, from Oak Tree Close, Loughton suffers from Prader-Willi Syndrome which leaves her unable to walk, speak or eat properly.
Last night a charity banquet was held for Millie, at the Muhinur Tandoori House in Greenyard, Waltham Abbey.
All proceeds will go to a fund to help buy special equipment for Millie.
Her mother Patsy Lecont said: "we managed to raise £450 for her which will make a huge difference. This brings our running total to £1850, and I am really grateful to everyone who was there last night."
She added: "We all had a great time and the manager and staff at The Munihur really looked after us. I'm amazed by people's generosity, especially given the current credit crunch."
There are also more events planned for Millie's fund, with a charity disco taking place on July 11 at Waltham Abbey Football Club.
Tickets cost £5 and include disco and a buffet.
Mrs Lecont added that she plans to trek up Mount Snowdon later this year with a group of friends to raise more cash for her daughter.
Anyone who wishes to offer sponsorship or donate to future charity events should contact Mrs Lecont on 02082 819 591.
