A DERELICT building has been given a makeover and turned into a day care centre for people with dementia.
The Ashlar Club at The Plain, Epping has been refurbished and renovated in just five days as part of a team building exercise for staff from Barchester Care Homes.
The new facilities will offer day care for people living with dementia, giving their carers the chance to take some time off.
Co-ordinator of the Ashlar Club Susan Lawlor said: "We recognise that caring for someone with dementia is not an easy task, so our plan is that the club will offer people the chance to receive some support from our dedicated team.
"We'd like to thank the maintenance team for their efforts, they've done a fantastic job in a very short space of time."
