LIKE any lifestyle publication, Walthamstow-based magazine One in Four looks at health, wealth, life and love - but with one important difference.
The title refers to the number of people who will suffer from mental illness at some point in their lives - and the magazine is the only national publication specifically designed to address their needs.
Published by not-for-profit design, communication and social action agency Social Spider CIC, One in Four is now based in Hatherley Mews, Walthamstow and editor Mark Brown is hoping to work with people in the borough.
He said: "The more people we can get out there speaking for themselves the better. We would be really, really interested in making contact."
The 31-year-old, of Brockley, south east London, has been editing the magazine for almost a year and relocated its offices to Walthamstow in November, along with Social Spider, where he is a development director.
Now in the process of putting out the fifth edition, his own experiences of mental health difficulties were the spur for starting One in Four.
"When I was in my early 20s, I became very, very ill," he said.
"I was diagnosed with bipolar II, which is a form of manic depression where there are fewer manic episodes and depression is predominant."
Following his diagnosis, he was put in touch with support workers who offered support not only with his medical needs but with practical concerns.
"The medical aspect is actually only a very small part of it," he said.
"The challenges that you face are doing things like securing work and finding good things to do with your time."
The aim of One in Four, which is also written by people with mental health difficulties, is therefore to provide information like this all in one place.
But the magazine is not limited in its scope, Mr Brown said, as it also aims to "demystify and destigmatise" mental health issues.
"I would encourage people who don't have mental health difficulties to read it as well," he said.
"It gives an idea of those people around you and how their your life differs from theirs."
