STAFF at a Chingford primary school have raised in excess of £2,000 for breast cancer charities.
A total of 12 staff from Larkswood Primary School raised funds by taking part in a special sponsored night walk in central London on May 16.
Along with members of their families, they walked through Hyde Park, past St James's Park, the Globe Theatre and over the Thames, wearing specially decorated pink bras, pink tutus and caps.
And children at the school, in New Road, Chingford, also wore pink clothes during a "pink day" on May 22, which included a special assembly, bringing in a pound to be donated to charity.
Teacher Nicola Barlow, 33, of Middleton Avenue, who took part in the walk, said: "It went really well. It was the first time I'd done it and there was a fantastic atmosphere."
