GIFTED pupils from primary schools across the district were given a master class in design and technology.
The year five students attended a workshop at St John's secondary school in Epping to learn how to design various products and learn new technical skills.
Design and technology teacher Robert Jackson said: "The classes are for able, gifted and talented pupils from our partner primary schools and they have the chance to learn specialist subjects from secondary school teachers.
"They worked on a hovercraft that they could control by blowing it around a circuit on a table top and they were made aware of how household objects can be used to create a design idea.
"They all enjoyed the sessions and we look forward to seeing them again."
