MORE than 50 people raised £3,000 during a charity spinning challenge at two local Health Clubs.

Exercise enthusiasts at Physicals in Woodford Green and Greens in Chingford, pedalled their way to raise money for Haven House Children’s Hospice.

This was the health club's second charity spin for Haven House and this time participants were sponsored to take part in the two hour event.

Spinners got into the groove for the Ibiza themed event as DJ Marie provided the tunes and Early Riser Disco Centre donated disco lights.

The Opium Lounge in Romford donated the decks and DJ equipment.

Pedallers at Physicals’ first spin event for Haven House also donned bright clothing and leg warmers to complete a one and a half hour challenge.

Community fundraiser Hayley Bridge said: “A big thank you and well done goes to everyone at Green’s and Physicals for organising a superb evening, and to everyone that took part and raised such a fantastic amount for Haven House.

"Thanks also to Online Bikes, Buckhurst Hill and Heales Cycles, Highams Park for donating a pair of spinning shoes as a gift to a lucky participant at each event.

"We were overwhelmed with support for this event and are extremely grateful to everyone involved”.
