A SCHOOL’S gardens are blooming better than ever following donations from generous pupils.
Children at Thomas Willingale School, in The Broadway, Loughton, have been bringing in plants from home to create their own individual year group gardens.
They then work with teachers to help improve the school gardens and gain a greater understanding of green issues.
School spokeswoman Michele Finbow said: “This enables the children to appreciate the environment and learn how to care for living and growing things. The children develop their skills in team work and cooperation, whilst having fun.
“The children are enthusiastic about school grounds week they enjoy planting and watching their flowers and plants grow.
“This is an ongoing school initiative which is always well supported by the parents and children.”
