POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in the leg in broad daylight.
Officers said the 47-year-old was loading his van in Saxon Road, Ilford, early on Saturday morning (May 23) when two men approached him.
An argument then broke out and the man was stabbed.
The attackers made off before the emergency services arrived.
The wounded man was rushed to Queens hospital, but was released shortly after.
A police spokeswoman said: "Following further enquiries, a 27 year-old man was arrested on May 23. He was subsequently bailed to return on July 21 pending further enquiries.
"We are appealing for information to trace a second suspect. He is described as a black man with a beard, 6'1" and was wearing a dark green jacket with a hooded top inside.

The stabbing happened at around 7.25am on the Saturday.
