RENEWABLE energy was the theme of a Science trip to Tilbury Power Station.
Year eight pupils from St John's school in Epping visited the centre near the Dartford Crossing to learn about the Power Station's renewable fuel programme, electricity generation, purification of water and how pollution effects habitats.
Science teacher Katie M'Guire said: "The highlight of the trip was the tour of the Power Station including standing in the middle of a sixteen double decker bus high inactive burner. It was such a great day and our students had a lot of fun learning science in a practical and interesting way."
