THE BBC's breathing places is encouraging people of all ages to celebrate the wildlife in their own back yard.
The scheme aims to get youngsters involved in preserving the countryside around us and kicks off with pond dipping on Friday May 29.
There is also an opprtunity to bag some binoculars and other nature goodies in a drawing competition.
Open to 5-9 year olds and youngsters aged 10-16, the challenge is to design a leaflet based on one of four species, Newts, Frogs and Toads, Snakes or Lizards.
