EMPLOYERS are invited to attend a free forum at Redbridge College this June to discuss how the institution can better meet their needs.
The forum will take place in the college’s Rouge Restaurant, Barley Lane, Chadwell Heath, on Monday, June 8, from 6pm and includes a hot buffet prepared by the students.
The evening will begin with a talk from college vice principal Tim Eyton-Jones about new initiatives planned for the rest of the year.
This will be followed by an open discussion about how the college could help local employers to improve the skills of their existing workforce, while also looking ahead to the needs of future employees.
There will be opportunities to network with fellow employers, and a chance to have an impact on the future curriculum of the college. Employers can also find out how training could benefit their current workforce.
More than 50 people attended the previous event, held in January, including representatives from national companies as well as directors and partners from local SMEs and staff from the College.
Mr Eyton-Jones said: “Ongoing engagement with local employers is key to ensuring our students develop skills that will help them succeed in the workplace.
"By finding out which qualifications are in highest demand by local employers, we can ensure the curriculum we offer will best prepare our students for their career.”
