EXPERIENCE life in the courthouse this weekend while staying on the right side of the law at an open day with Redbridge Magistrates.
Hundreds of adults and children are being given a fascinating opportunity to learn about how the justice system works at a family event this saturday from 10am to 4pm at the courts in Cranbrook Road, Barkingside.
Visitors can look forward to a lively programme of events, including behind the scenes tours of courtrooms and cells, mock hearings to decide innocence, guilt and sentences and the chance to ride the prison vehicle and ambulance.
There will also be a chance to meet the magistrates and find out how to become one and see finger printing and tagging in action.
Victim Support, Redbridge Probation Service, Redbridge Youth Offending Team and local Police will also have a gallery of display stands.
Entry and activities are free of charge, with no advanced booking required.
