A FUND-RAISING campaign to help a boy with autism is entering new territory with an online auction.

Severely autistic Thomas Boyle, 3, is the second member of his family to have the condition after older brother George.

Mum Kate and dad Paul have thrown all their energy into helping their son gain the best care for his condition and are trying to raise £10,000 for specialist treatment in America.

In their newest fund-raising venture they intend to set up an online auction on eBay to raise money for Thomas.

The idea came to the Boyles after they were impressed with the quality of donated items for the raffle at their last event, held at the Metropolitan Police Club, in Chigwell.

Kate Boyle, of Stonards Hill, Loughton, said: “We were stunned with the response we got- the number of tickets sold but most especially by the items donated.

“If we can get enough interest in the auction items and raise more money then we can be confident about booking our tickets for January 2010.”

Auction items will include a clay pigeon shooting and coaching session at Sayes Park shooting school in Herts, a red letter day driving experience, and a flying lesson at Stapleford.
