I think the council should use the arcade site as a mixture of garden/park and memorial and peace site.
Lots of civilians died when the German air force attacked the market in the 1940s.
The market trader Mr Allen can tell you about it. He still remembers it.
I am German myself. So it’s not ‘anti-German’. It is in respect of the poor civilians who died.
Walthamstow is a wonderful multicultural mix and a peaceful garden with a memorial plaque, sculptures etc. would be wonderful. Maybe children could actually see how vegetables grow!
