WOODCARVERS are being urged to get in touch with a woodland burial park to help meet their demand for memorials.
Since opening last year, the Epping Forest Burial Park in North Weald has become a popular spot for families to lay their loved one's to rest.
The environmentally friendly alternative to a traditional funeral uses biodegradable materials with discreet wooden plaques and carvings marking the graves.
But the 52 acre site of mature woodland has had so much interest for funerals, that staff are desperate to find more woodcarvers to help them out.
Office Manager Carmen Daniels said: "We're very keen to work with local craftsmen but tracking them down is proving to be a bit of a challenge.
"Families don't always know what they want and so it's important that they can sit down with someone to talk it through - a service best provided by someone locally based."
Woodcarvers interested in working with the burial park should contact Carmen on 01992 523863.
