I THOUGHT your editorial was spot on last week. I was both surprised and pleased to see something happening with the arcade site.
I have constantly nagged my councillors to do something about the arcade site. I am pleased to see that new leader Chris Robbins is listening to the people, learning and leading on this issue.
I am someone who judges people on their actions rather than their words and so far I have been impressed. But I do add a note of caution.
I don’t want to see the temporary use become permanent. I, along with many of my neighbours would still like to see real long term investment in the arcade site. As far as I am concerned the proposed new pool, hotel and shops would be welcome, creating jobs and providing activities for all age groups.
A good start Cllr Robbins but keep your eyes on the big picture!
