THE pathologist who examined Stuart Lubbock's body admitted he was 'incredibly arrogant' in wrongly asserting two women were murdered despite contradicting evidence.
Dr Michael Heath examined the body of Stuart Lubbock, who died at the home of TV presenter Michael Barrymore in Roydon in 2001.
He resigned from the Home Office three years ago after he was strongly criticised for his work on the deaths of Mary Anne Moore and Jacqueline Tindsley.
Three years ago a governmental investigation found Dr Heath had bungled post-mortem examinations on the two women, leading to their partners to be tried for murder.
He now faces a General Medical Council hearing in which his fitness to practice is being questioned.
In the latest hearing before the GMC, Dr Heath admitted his behaviour three years ago was "arrogant" and he became his "own judge and jury."
