WANSTEAD MP Harry Cohen has thrown his weight behind a new scheme to get more young people into work.
The groundbreaking new programme Lifetracks, which will use a combination of online and on-the-ground services to help young people – including some of the most disadvantaged in the UK - was launched this week at the House of Commons.
The three-year scheme aims to empower and support 16 to 25-year-olds to make informed choices about their work and training, giving them a fighting chance in the job market.
Fiona Dawe, YouthNet Chief Executive, said: “Lifetracks draws on the combined expertise, experience and commitment of all four partner charities.
“We applaud the vision of the Vodafone Foundation and v [who are sponsoring the scheme] and their vital commitment to young people, particularly important in these uncertain times.”
