A LEYTON charity has pledged its support for the Big Push appeal at Whipps Cross University Hospital.
The Noor Ul Islam Trust, a Muslim-run charity based in High Road, Leyton, has chosen the Big Push as its charity of the year and will be campaigning on its behalf until December.
A launch event will be held at the trust's head office on June 18, featuring speakers from Whipps Cross, councillors and representatives of the trust.
The Big Push aims to raise £350,000 for new equipment and resources in the maternity unit at the hospital.
