FORMER Olympic gold medallist Tessa Sanderson CBE presented Leyton Sixth Form College students with certificates.
Ms Sanderson visited the college, in Essex Road, to present the achievement certificates to a group of business students.
Student Sabba Hussain said: “It was motivating to see how normal people like us can be inspirational role models. "She thanked the guests and the teachers who had worked to ensure that most of the students will be able to progress to the next level of course before entering university in two years time."
Ms Sanderson won gold at the 1984 Olympics in the javelin event.
