SCHOOL children on a day trip witnessed a crash where a bike rider was knocked off his scrambler motorcycle.
The collision at Westhall Road, Loughton happened when the 18-year-old fell off his bike and hit a parked car at 1.30pm yesterday (June 17).
The man from Loughton was taken to hospital and treated for a head injury before being discharged.
Investigating officer Inspector Steve Brewer said: "There is a suggestion that a vehicle stuck the bike's rear wheel which caused him to lose control.
"The crash happened next to a large play area near to Colebrook Lane where there were several school children on an organised trip."
Police believe the rider was not wearing any crash helmet at the time.
