A CHIROPODIST who decided he needed more in his life than other people's feet has had his first art exhibition displayed in a library.
Don Mowlat, 54 from Leytonstone was chosen from hundreds to present his work in Loughton Library on Trapps Hill.
Inspired by a local beauty spot in Loughton, the exhibition is titled Sketches of Knighton Wood and Lords Bushes.
Mr Mowlat said: "I have been painting all my life and my exhibition is based on a little piece of woodland round the back of Holly House hospice. It used to be a garden for a stately home and they knocked the estate down but the woods survived. It's a lovely beauty spot and I used it as inspiration.
"My work is very impressionist. I think we need more displays in libraries to keep them open and get more people using the local service."
