IT WAS business as usual for a Wanstead estate agents today after their window was smashed in an early morning car crash.
Elizabeth Price property services in Wanstead High Street suffered a cracked window and damaged brick work after a car collided with it at around 4am this morning.
A crash is thought to have occurred at the junction with Hermon Hill between a silver hactback and a dark blue saloon, that was licensed as a private hire mini cab.
Neil Ruthwell, who works at the estate agents, said: "I've been told that one car hit another, sending it into the shop.
"The bricks are damaged and there's lots of cracks in the window.
"When we came in this morning the cars had already been towed away but there's still bits and debris and headlights and skid marks in the road.
"It looks like it was quite nasty."
No further information is available due to a problem with the police logging system but it is not thought that anyone was seriously hurt in the accident.
