TALENTED young women from across the borough will get the chance to compete for the coveted title of Redbridge Carnival Queen next month.
The Redbridge Carnival Association has called for competitors to put their names forward for selection as final preparations are made for this year’s event.
Organiser, Rajeshri Chouhan, said: "We are looking for women aged between 16 and 30 to compete for the positions of Carnival Queen and princesses for the borough of Redbridge. We are interested in candidates with stand out personalities, character and a strong Redbridge focus.”
The hopefuls will be wittled down to a list of ten who will receive a complimentary makeover and hairstyling by Tony and Guy on the day of the selection finals, and again during the two days of the carnival itself.
Upon winning the coveted positions, the Queen and princesses will enjoy a complimentary fashion photo shoot with a professional snapper.
The queen will also recieve a £500 photograph reproduction voucher and the princesses will receive vouchers to the value of £250.
The winning ‘royal court’ will attend the carnival on the 5th and 6th September, and they will go on to represent Redbridge in borough-related events throughout the year.
If you believe you have what it takes to become the Carnival Queen or a princess, then call Rajeshri Chouhan on: 07941 083 716. Selection will take place on July 26 at Redbridge College.
