Commuters in Waltham Forest will be hoping they are spared further chaos as union officials hold talks with transport bosses in a bid to avoid further strike action.
Representatives of the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union will meet London Underground today (Friday), along with conciliation service ACAS, to try to put an end to the dispute.
However the union said it will not rule out further action if the talks prove unsuccessful.
Last week a 48-hour strike shut sections of the Victoria and Central lines, along with much of the rest of the tube network, making many local resident's journey into London extremely difficult.
The dispute over job losses, disciplinary matters and pay saw RMT members walk out on Wednesday and Thursday last week. The London Chamber of Commerce estimates that £100 million could have been lost as a result of the action.
