GOLFERS of all ages and abilities came together to raise just under £1,000 at a special charity day at the Epping Golf Club.
The captains cup, held on June 13 was played out in brilliant weather and all proceeds will go to support St Clare's Hospice.
Golfers even played in fancy dress, with Mr Nick Rose completing the course dressed in a wetsuit.
Non-players enjoyed a bellydancing display, sweepstake competition, volleyball games and limbo dancing at the club in Flux's Lane.
Organiser Anne Henwood said: "A big thank you goes to everyone who helped prior to and on the day and last but not least a very big thank you to our sponsors who helped fund the event."
"In addition to everyone having a great day we were able to raise £929.50 for our charity St Clare’s Hospice so thank you all for taking part.”
Mr Jason Clifford took the top spot in the mens competition, with Andrew Gale coming a close second and Mario Toma in third place.
In The Ladies competition, first place went to Sandra Nicholls, second place was Gill Sautted with Liz Clarke coming in third.
Of the juniors, Mark Kenny took the top spot, in second place was Oliver Quinn-Smith with Joel Gurjal taking third.
A new trophy, the Captain’s Compass for past and present captains was won by Paul Weston. Other winners include Elisha Bratley who dominated the hula hoop competition with a 76 minute show of skill, Kathy Simmons for guess the baby competition, and Sam Nicholls for play your cards right.
