A EVENING of gospel music has been held Waltham Forest College.
The college's Christian Union put on its annual End of Year concert in the common room, including performances from Sir George Monoux and Leyton sixth form colleges.
It also featured a support performance from gospel recording artist Governor B.
Faith in communities liaison officer for the Met Steve McDonald, who attended the concert, said: "This was a really enjoyable event and I would like to see more events like these as they encourage diversity and cohesion in the community."
Amy Willshire, faith communities ambassador for Waltham Forest Faith Communities Forum, adde: “This was a really inspirational event which displayed a range of musical styles.
“I really want to encourage the Waltham Forest Christian Union to reach out and build on they've achieved today.”
