AN open day is to be held at a Chingford allotment site.
Hoxton Manor Allotments, just off Chingford Road, will open its gates to the public on July 5 from 11am.
Visitors will be able to look around as well as sampling food made with plotholders’ own produce.
They can also buy jam and honey and view a picture display about the allotments.
Stalls and activities run until 3pm but visitors can stay later to try a variety of dishes from the West Indies, Morocco, Turkey and Kurdistan.
There will also be a treasure hunt and face painting, as well as art and craft activities.
Admission is free and donations for food and drink are requested.
