ENJOY a fascinating historical lecture in aid of a vital cancer charity.
Professional genealogist George Smith, of Fencepiece Road, Hainault, is talking on 'Our Victorian Ancestors: facts you may not know' in aid of Mark McCarthy's Magic Moment Fund.
The cause helps young people with cancer enjoy pantomimes, boat trips and Christmas hampers.
Mr Smith decided to get involved after being recently diagnosed with colon cancer himself and receiving treatment at the King George Hospital's Cedar Centre.
He said: "The talk will be very interesting and include so trips for tracing family histories."
The runs from 6pm to 7pm at Limes Farm Hall, Limes Avenue, Chigwell, on Friday, July 10.
Tickets cost £2.50 and are available from King George Hospital's Cedar Centre, Barley Lane, Goodmayes, or by calling 8500 6330.
