DANCERS, music and majorettes all played their part at this year’s Ongar Carnival.

Starting from St Peter’s Avenue, on the Shelley estate, a aprade of participants made their way down the High Street to a fete at Chipping Ongar Primary School.
Epping Forest Pipe band played a prominent role in the march while Redbridge brass also made a contribution to the musical side.
Carnival queen Emily Watson led the procession along with her princesses Estelle Shearer and Louise Laws.
Shenfield High School provided a dance display as did the Ongar Movers and Groovers while groups present included the Third Ongar Scout Troop and Ongar Young Farmers.
The day was organised by Ongar Round Table with assistance from the High Ongar Branch of the Royal British Legion.
