I WANTED to respond to the article about faster ambulance response times.
I just wanted to say the paramedics who treated me in August were really very good.
It was about 11.30 at night when I phoned them but it the Bank Holiday when they're exceptionally busy.
I had these terrific pains in my chest and I'm 70 and on my own so I thought - what do I do?
I dialled 999 and my neighbour let them in - they couldn't have got there any quicker.
They were with me in five minutes. There were three of them, the fast response man and two ambulance men, and they were all very nice and polite.
I think they should be praised for what they do and it's the same with Whipps Cross Hospital - without them, I would have died.
No one ever writes in to say anything good about them but I think if you're polite to someone, they'll be polite back.
