A FANTASTIC theatre workshop is searching for budding stars to perform in its latest production.

Lets Make a Musical is putting on a version of the hit West End show Hairspray at Trinity Catholic High School, Woodford Green, this August.

But the cast is missing a few key players so if you have ever fancies yourself on the stage then now is the time to get involved.

Director Michael Gyngell is a veteran of theatreland having appeared in Starlight Express, West Side Story and most recently the London production of Fame.

He said: "It's 1962, the '50s are out and change is in the air. Baltimore's Tracy Turnblad, a big girl with big hair and an even bigger heart, has only one passion – to dance.

"She wins a spot on the local TV dance programme, 'The Corny Collins Show' and, overnight, is transformed from outsider to irrepressible teen celebrity.

"We're actively looking for new students to join us this year for all roles. This year we're especially looking for black students for three key roles."

Scholarships and half scholarships are available as well as sibling discounts.
