TWENTY-FOUR bank staff had a wheely good time raising more than £5,000 for a vital charity for sick youngsters.
Barclays Commercial staff got pedaling on static cycles in the grounds of Haven House Children's Hospice, in the High Road, Woodford Green.
The participants split into two teams to see which could go the furthest, each person completing a 15 minute ride at a time.
Putting all their energy into their cycling the teams managed to peddle throughout the whole day, raising a total of £2,574.
Not only did they raise a significant amount of money but Barclays will be generously doubling the amount.
Jackie Wright, community fundraiser at Haven House, said “A big thank you and well done goes to all at Barclays Commercial for organising this event; with a special thanks to those who took part. Lots of stamina was needed on the day!
"We would also like to thank Physicals Fitness Club in Woodford Green who allowed the tired participants to shower after the event”.
