INTERNATIONAL stars of sport and show business will be taking part in a celebrity cricket match in aid of Woodford Green's Haven House Children’s Hospice.
Well-known faces taking part include Sri Lanka’s most successful fast bowler Chaminda Vaas, former European Super Featherweight Champion Jim McDonnell, Glen Murphy MBE and actress Vicki Michelle.
Iain Duncan Smith, MP for Chingford and Woodford Green, will be umpiring and other celebrities are set to be confirmed at a later date.
With music, a barbeque, licensed bar, craft and game stalls this promises to be a great day out for all the family.
The six-a-side match will be on Sunday, August 2, at Farnham Cricket Club, Hazel End, Bishops Stortford with gates open at 10am and play beginning at 10.30am.
Tickets are just £2 for adults with children under-16 getting in free and a 50p charge for parking.
Haven House Children’s Hospice is a charity that provides care for children and young people who have life-limiting conditions and who are unlikely to reach adulthood.
