GOBSTOPPERS, lemon drops and humbugs were just some of the sugary treats on offer when South Woodford's brand new traditional-style sweet shop opened its doors for the first time today (Saturday).
Eager shoppers have packed into Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe in George Lane for a taste of a bygone era - and to admire the dozens of jars lining the walls, packed with colourful goodies with quirky names.
The store has been designed to resemble a typical sweetshop in the 1950s, with customers served by staff who weigh up their chosen treats for them.
