AN exact replica of the first ever British designed and built aircraft will be launched in Walthamstow on its 100th anniversary.
The Roe I Triplane will be revealed on Walthamstow Marshes on Sunday, July 12 just a day short of a century since the original was first flown from the same spot in 1913.
The replica will be officially unveiled by Eric Verdon-Roe, grandson of the plane's designer and builder, Sir Alliott Verdon-Roe.
The public is invited to attend the ceremo on July 12.
