EPPING Forest Youth Council is looking for candidates to stand in their upcoming elections.
The group, which comprises of young people between the ages of 13 and 19 living in the Epping Forest district, will hold their second youth elections in September.
The Council was formed in 2007 and is made up of an elected group of non-arty political people who involve themselves in the decisions made by Epping Forest District Council, as the Council wanted to know what young people thought about its services and the issues that affect them.
Youth groups, schools and Epping Forest College will host the Youth Elections and anyone eligible can nominate themselves to stand as a Youth Councillor.
If elected, they will sit for 2 years and be required to attend two evening meetings a month.
There are five independent seats for young people who either attend school or College outside of the district, are excluded from school, home educated or are working.
