REDBRIDGE Homes will have to report to councillors regularly after missing out on millions of pounds following a disappointing watchdog inspection.
The organisation, which manages 7,000 council houses across the borough, is hoping to negotiate a re-inspection earlier than one expected in February, but will have to prove to councillors that it has made progress.
Last month Redbridge Homes missed out £39million after receiving a disppointing one star rating in the Audit Comission inspection, that criticised the payment of managers, quality of repairs and the level of complaints.
Progress reports are expected to be heard in September, December and January.
Discussions are taking place between Redbridge Homes, the council and the Audit Commission to try and negotiate a re-inspection earlier than next year.
