Police are appealing for help after armed officers were called to Epping on Tuesday night (June 30) following reports that a man was brandishing a weapon after an argument.
Officers, including an armed response team were called to a property in Hemnall Street, Epping shortly before 8pm.
Residents contacted police after neighbours reported that an argument between a landlord and his tenant had got out of hand.
A spokesman for Essex police said: "A number of officers, including armed response officers were called following an alleagtion that a weapon had been seen."
Police sealed off the roads around Hemnall Street including the route from Station Road leading to Epping High Street for over an hour, while officers investigated.
Despite searching the property, no-one was arrested and no weapon was found.
