POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was killed in a hit-and-run collision.
Mohammed Siraj Bhurya was using a pedestrian crossing in High Street North, Manor Park, at 12.10am on Tuesday April 7 when he was knocked down.
The 19-year-old victim was taken to the Royal London Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 1.07am.
He was a Pakistani national who and was studying in the UK and lived near Aldersbrook. He died from bleeding as a result of injuries to the leg and pelvis.
The car was travelling north along High Street North near the junction with Halley Road in the direction of Romford Road. The vehicle failed to stop.
Officers from the Collision Investigation Unit at Chadwell Heath are investigating.
