A BEATBOXER from Walthamstow came first in a national competition.
Harry Yeff, whose stage name is Reeps One, battled to win the prize by using the technique of creating rythyms and sounds just using his mouth.
He performed in front of a crowd of 800 people at Shepherds Bush Empire in the final rounds of the Vauxhall UK Beatbox Championship which saw Reeps One and The Petebox - Peter Sampson from Nottingham - battle to claim the prize.
Established beatbox performers TyTe, Faith SFX and Indra kick-started the championships in which eight finalists competed against each other.
Harry Yeff, who won a and Reeps One won a Vauxhall Corsa SXi, said: “What a final. The Petebox was such a good competitor, but I’m so pleased I managed to pull it out of the bag in the final round. I can’t wait to get behind the wheel.”
