THE Attorney General officially opened a learning resource centre at a Walthamstow School.
Baroness Patricia Scotland, a former Walthamstow resident and Britain's first female attorney general, visited Frederick Bremer School, in Siddeley Road today.
She opened the Baroness Patricia Scotland centre, which has 90 computers, 7,000 books and comfortable sofas and bean bags on which pupils can read.
Frederick Bremer pupils were asked to name the centre after an inspiring local person and selected the Baroness.
Frederick Bremer teacher Michael Leach said: “Baroness Scotland is the perfect local person to inspire excellence and achievement in young people.”
