MEN are being invited to come along to watch a charity women's fun run.
With just a week to go until the Epping Forest Race for Life event at North Weald Airfield, organisers are now inviting everyone along for an evening of entertainment.
Epping event manager Lucy Hynes said: “For the first time we are extending our Race for Life invitation to the whole community and asking everyone to join the fun.
"Many men come along to cheer their wives, girlfriends, mums and daughters over the finish line, which is fantastically motivating, and then go home. But at this year's event we've got all the ingredients for a brilliant evening out – great food, dance and fun.
"So we are inviting our participants, their families, supporters and local residents to stay and make it a unique evening to remember.”
Money raised from the event on July 15 will go to Cancer Research UK, and it is hoped that the 3,200 women who have signed up will hit the fund-raising target of £230,000.
There are still just a few places left.
